The "Journal of Harbin Engineering University" upholds a strong commitment to ethical standards and promotes responsible publishing practices. We expect authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to the following ethics and policies to maintain the integrity and quality of our journal.

1. Authorship and Originality:

   • All listed authors should have made a substantial contribution to the research and manuscript preparation.
   • Authors should ensure that their work is original and has not been published previously or is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
   • Proper acknowledgment should be given to all sources used in the manuscript.

2. Plagiarism and Copyright:

   • Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited. Authors should ensure that their work is free of plagiarism and properly attribute and cite all sources.
   • Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for copyrighted material used in their manuscripts.
   • The "Journal of Harbin Engineering University" assumes no liability for any copyright infringement committed by the authors.

3. Conflict of Interest:

   • Authors should disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that may have influenced the research or the interpretation of the results.
   • Reviewers and editors should recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest.

4. Peer Review Process:

   • The journal follows a double-blind peer review process, ensuring impartial evaluation and maintaining the confidentiality of both authors and reviewers.
   • Reviewers are expected to provide constructive and unbiased feedback, assessing the scientific merit, methodology, and originality of the manuscripts.

   • Raw data, codes, and other relevant materials should be made available upon request or through appropriate data repositories, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical considerations.

7. Publication Ethics and Misconduct:

   • The "Journal of Harbin Engineering University" adheres to the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and handles any cases of suspected misconduct, such as plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices, seriously and rigorously.
