Filter models and simulation of random waves
Main Article Content
Abstract
Random waves can be simulated by a filter model and represented by colored noise. To solve random motion problems, it is necessary to introduce a filter model to deal with white noise input and to obtain colored noise in accordance with random waves. We constructed a filter using the ARMA process and investigated the fitting degree of the model to an ITTC two-parameter spectrum. Wave elevation was generated through the power spectral density based on the filter model. The effectiveness of the filter was verified by comparing the statistics of the simulation data with the theoretical values of the ITTC two-parameter spectrum. This filter model is an accessible strategy for wave simulation and colored interference transformation.
