Abstract

Technical place in women's careers is shaped by the complex interactions between gender roles, career growth, and technology. This survey of the literature explores the experiences of women in technical communication throughout history and the present, highlighting both ongoing difficulties and new opportunities.  Due to larger cultural gender norms and biases that affect workplace communication and professional position, Women have historically faced considerable challenges in technical disciplines.
