Abstract

Modular Building (MB) presents considerable potential to mitigate difficulties within Chad's construction sector, such as inefficiencies, elevated costs, and unsustainable methods. Nonetheless, its implementation is constrained by substantial initial expenses, insufficient stakeholder awareness, lack of local expertise, and ineffective policy frameworks.

This study examines the challenges and suggests solutions to address these problems. A mixed-methods approach was employed to collect data through personal interviews, and questionnaires involving construction industry professionals and policymakers.

The findings underscore the necessity of focused legislative reforms, the development of local capacities, and investment in domestic production to lower expenses and improve the level of adoption rates. The research underscores MB's capacity to provide building schedules, financial efficiencies, and enhanced sustainability, in accordance with Chad's escalating housing need and environmental objectives. A detailed framework was developed to assist stakeholders in overcoming the obstacles while utilising essential drivers. The framework offers practical ideas to advance sustainable construction standards, improve housing affordability, and support Chad's economic and environmental development.
