Derivation of an Analytical Model of an FSS structure

Abstract

Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS) are used in applications where frequency-selective shielding is desired. The frequency response of the FSSs is generally derived via Electromagnetic (EM) Simulation of the structure using 3D EM Simulation Software. In this paper, an attempt is made to generate an analytical model for an FSS structure using statistical methods of the Design of Experiments.
